How it works

  1. Create a link

    Give it a title and say what you want to see, like Show me what happens when you click Export CSV. Send it wherever you already talk to them: email, chat, a support reply.

  2. They record in the browser

    They open the link, read what you asked, pick a screen, window or tab, and talk while they show you. Nothing is captured until they press Start.

    • Nothing to install and no account, for them.
    • Pause, resume, mute or switch microphone while recording.
    • Uploads every few seconds as they record, so a closed tab loses seconds, not the recording.
    • Works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a computer.

  3. You get the video and the context

    You get an email and an unseen badge on your dashboard. The watch page has the video, a timestamped transcript and a written report you can copy as Markdown.

Every recording comes with a context bundle in plain Markdown, written for Cursor, Claude Code or any agent that reads text.

Two ways to use it

Press Copy as Markdown on the watch page and paste it into your agent. Or give the agent the URL: every recording has a /md address that returns the bundle as text.

## Summary

Exporting March invoices to CSV never finishes when every invoice is selected. The same export for a single client downloads at once.

Download all March invoices as one CSV file for their accountant.

## Steps shown

1. Opened Invoices and set the date filter to March 2026.
2. Ticked "Select all" (212 invoices).
3. Clicked Export CSV. The button greyed out and a spinner ran for over 30 seconds. No file, no error message.
4. Filtered to one client (Fernhill Bakery) and exported again. The file downloaded.

A large export never completes and the page shows no error. Small exports work, which points at a timeout or size limit on the export request.

What it does not do yet

Phones record the camera, not the screen

Mobile browsers cannot capture the screen. On a phone, LinkRec records camera and mic, and suggests opening the link on a computer.

Tab audio only in Chrome and Edge

Other browsers record the screen and the microphone, without the sound playing in the tab.

No console or network logs

A link cannot read another site's logs. If your bugs need them, a tool that runs inside your app is the better fit.

No helpdesk integration or team seats

Paste the watch link into the ticket by hand. One account per person for now. Recordings stop at 15 minutes.

Who it is for

Small SaaS teams where the person who answers the support email also ships the fix, usually with Cursor or Claude Code.

It also suits support leads who need a clear note to escalate to engineering, and agencies whose clients cannot describe what broke. It is not the right tool yet for bugs inside a mobile app, for IT helpdesks debugging desktop software, or for teams that need every recording to land in a helpdesk ticket automatically.
